Aid worker Yasser Junaid abducted and disappeared before death notification

The Houthis detained aid worker Yasser Muhammad Junaid in February 2017, transferred him to Zabid and then denied holding him, national investigation commission member Ishraq al-Maqtari stated in an account carried by Yemen Shabab Net.

What happened

She said his family was informed of his death on 12 July 2022 and relayed an account received by his wife that he had died under torture in 2018 at al-Khair centre in Zabid. The 2022 notification is not treated as the death date, nor is the 2018 account presented as an independent medical finding.
